Holcomb Bridge Road
Anyone who drives in Roswell knows Holcomb Bridge Road. Where it meets GA-400, it carries commuters heading to and from the highway and shoppers heading to the centers along it. Traffic from every subdivision east and west joins them. The result is a long stretch of slow, stop-and-go traffic with turn lanes, driveways and signals close together.
The crashes it produces are mostly rear-end collisions in the queues and left-turn crashes at the signals. They are often lower-speed — which is exactly why insurers try to dismiss the injuries. A rear-end crash at 20 mph can still cause a neck or back injury that takes months of treatment.
GA-400 and the rest
GA-400 runs north and south along the east side of Roswell, with its own rush-hour slowdowns and lane-change crashes around the exits. Alpharetta Highway (Highway 9) is the older north-south route through town, lined with businesses. Riverside Drive follows the Chattahoochee along the southern edge of the city, with curves and narrow shoulders.
The historic district
Canton Street and the streets around it in historic Roswell draw crowds to restaurants and bars, especially in the evenings and on weekends. That brings pedestrians crossing between parked cars, drivers looking for parking, and late-night traffic — and, too often, people who should not be driving. See pedestrian accidents and drunk driving accidents.
Close to the office
For most clients, the distance to the office does not matter — consultations happen by phone and video. But Roswell is minutes from the Alpharetta office at 318 Maxwell Road. If you would rather sit down across a table, that is easy to arrange.

If your case goes to court
Roswell is in Fulton County. Most injury claims settle without a trial. If one does not, where it is filed depends on where the at-fault party lives, not only on where the crash happened.
What we handle for Roswell clients
We handle car accidents, rear-end collisions, work-related car accidents, workers’ compensation, pedestrian accidents, slip and fall, dog bites and wrongful death claims.
The rules
Georgia is an at-fault state. If you are found partly at fault, your recovery is reduced by that share and barred at 50% (O.C.G.A. § 51-12-33). The deadline to file suit for most injury claims is two years (O.C.G.A. § 9-3-33). Work injuries must be reported to your employer within 30 days (O.C.G.A. § 34-9-80).
What to do now
Get treated and keep every appointment. Get the report number from the Roswell Police Department, or the Georgia State Patrol if the crash was on GA-400. Do not give a recorded statement to the other driver’s insurer.
The first conversation is free, and it is with Jeff Snell.
Crashes inside city limits are worked by Roswell Police, a department of the City of Roswell. Your case would be run from our office on Maxwell Road, a few minutes away.
